The annual City-wide "Spring Clean-Up in Snohomish" was a huge success. This annual community partnership event took place on Saturday, April 26, 2008. The Spring Clean-Up event was coordinated with a partnership of the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce, City of Snohomish, Snohomish Lions, Snohomish kiwanis, Tillicum Kiwanis, and the City Public Works & Facilities departments.
Despite the Snohomish Parks Foundation's boycott, the event went off without a hitch and was attended by over 110 volunteers that included;
Volunteer Groups:
Snohomish Kiwanis (7 hours) Tillicum Kiwanis (9 hours) Snohomish Lions (16 hours) Brunhaver Financial Services (56 hours) The House (40 hours) Waverly Kids (12.5 Hours) Girl Scouts 392 (12 hours) Snohomish Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) (23.5 hours) Snohomish City Council (2 hours) Cub Scout Troop 36 (47 hours) Boy Scout Troop 91 (32 hours) Boy Scout Troop 32 ( 8 hours) City of Snohomish
265 Group Hours + 240 Individual Hours = 505 Total Hours
Hats off to the Brunhaver children for doing such a fantastic job cleaning up the Snohomish Carnegie front entrance and landscaping. Another big thank you goes to the Snohomish Kiwanis and Snohomish Lions clubs for providing lunch to all the clean-up volunteers.
