SNOHOMISH, Washington – Groundfrog Day in Snohomish is Saturday, February 2, 2008,11a.m. 4 pm. at Ferguson Park, 1330 Ferguson Park Road.  The Frognostication ceremony will be held at the park’s gazebo at 11 a.m.  Adding to the frogfolity will be Webbly the AquaSox mascot and OxyGene, the hero of Community Transit.  They will join us to here the answer to the burning question, will Snohomish Slew, our legendary amphibian, see his shadow on GroundFrog Day? Will there be 6 more weeks of wet and soggy or will Spring be delayed by 6 more weeks of soggy and wet?  The suspense will be rib-bit-ting.   

NW Sand and Gravel and Initial Construction are pleased to present a frolicking Froggy good time celebrating the damper days of winter at our Pacific Northwest twist to the Ground Hog tradition.   JD the DJ from Catch the Beat will host this frogtastic event and provide music, kid activities and lots of family entertainment.  See the exciting water rescue equipment used by Snohomish County Search and Rescue.

New to this year’s GroundFrog Day event…Slew has declared “It’s EZ being green in 2008 – live green – work green – ride green”.  Slew invites his legions of Froggy Fans to join him following the Frognostication Ceremony from noon to 4 p.m. in the Armory building next to Ferguson Park. Come for family entertainment, cool free stuff, vendors and lots of “keeping it green –no umbrella necessary information”!

This event is organized by the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce with assistance from the City of Snohomish.
